I.A. Smirnov, deputy director of the Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve, greeted all participants of the event.
“It is very pleasant for me to announce the results of the contests and to thank and to congratulate all contestants on behalf of the museum administration”, he said. “The participants of the contest of drawings showed different sides of our town. They painted architectural monuments, some corners of Kirillov, ancient and newly-built houses. If we compare Kirillov with other cities and towns of the Vologda region, we can see that it has its own peculiarities and a look of its own. We can be proud of the fact that we live and work in Kirillov”.
I.A. Smirnov gave certificates, letters of gratitude and souvenirs to the children. Besides, teachers and heads of the children’s creative projects were awarded letters of acknowledgement.
Pupils of the Children’s Art Centre recited poems about Kirillov during the event. Moreover, the guests of the museum saw a video film of Natalya Bokina about her native town and a photo presentation of the contestants’ drawings.
Dear friends, you have a chance to admire the children’s drawings at the exhibition in the Museum of Town and District History (at 103 Gagarin Street in Kirillov) till November 22.
