“Low Sunday” and “Folk workshop” – weekend programs in museum
From May 7 to 8, 2016
Young and adult visitors of the museum looked for the treasure in the monastery on May 7.
“Treasure in the monastery” is an adventure game in the course of which you learn about history and architectural ensemble of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery. The game was organized as a relay. Its participants went from one station to another, fulfilled some tasks and got fragments of the map and an orientating point to another station.
The guests fulfilled all tasks with interest, guessed riddles, and pieced together jigsaw puzzles depicting architectural monuments of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery.
At the end of the game when they had all parts of the map, they found a casket with various ancient articles. They also learnt that some new knowledge and the time they had spent together with their friends was a treasure that was even more important than the articles!
Museum employees presented postcards with the views of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery to all participants of the event as souvenirs of the interesting tour.
Besides, children played Russian folk games in the Cook-Cells and tasted festive food in the summer café of the museum.
The master-classes “Easter egg decoupage” and “Twisted bird” were delivered in the “Folk workshop” on May 8.
