Museum employees conducted lessons for pupils in Nikolsky Torzhok

The mobile exhibition “Great Tsar’s Stronghold” was staged for local pupils and teachers on March 16. It told about construction of the fortifications in the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery. Besides, the museum employees gave seven lectures on various subjects. S.S. Veselova, custodian of the archeology holding, told children about ancient history of our region. M.N. Travnikova’s lesson was about history and architecture of the Ferapontov Monastery. O.G. Kuzmichyova read two lectures on the defence of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery in the early 17th century and the Kirillov district during the Great Patriotic War. L.G. Myakusheva told about the Vladimir Lenin All-Union Pioneer Organization. L.N. Akimova and T.V. Usova delivered master-classes “Build a Church” in the elementary school. Pupils learn about the structure of a church and made its model using paper.
