Research officer of Scientific Department A.N. Kalikina represented Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve at forum in Vologda
The Interregional Scientific Conference “Great Russian Revolution of 1917 in Context of Regional History of 20th Century” was initiated by the Department of Culture and Tourism in the Vologda Region, the State Archive of the Vologda Region and the Vologda Regional Universal Scientific Library named after I.V. Babushkin.
Over 20 scholars, archivists, museum employees, local historians and teachers of the Vologda region, St. Petersburg, the Republic of Karelia and Yaroslavl took part in the scientific forum.
A.N. Kalikina, research officer of the Scientific Department, gave her report “Establishment of Soviet Power in Kirillov and Kirillov District According to Archival Materials and Contemporaries’ Recollections”.
It is planned to publish a book with the texts of all reports presented at the conference.
Besides, the participants of the event visited the historical and documentary exhibition “Revolution of 1917 in Documentary Materials of Vologda Region State Archive” and made a tour of the archive and the archival repository.
